Welcome back to another episode of the Putty Report. So if you're listening to this in real time when it airs, then the episode that I just released on the Profit podcast will have come out. So it's all about the seven key things to consider whenever you're trying to get better at project and time management or just being overall more productive. So the last two episodes have really been aligned and we talked about a week in the life of a productive podcaster on the Profit podcast and then now I'm sharing the key things to think about when you're thinking about project and time management, and I wanted to bring it up again here today because it's something that is continuously top of mind for me and it is a skill that I have to practice Like this isn't something that comes natural to me. So here's a little peek into who I was as a child.

Speaker 0:

I am the youngest of two older brothers, so I'm the only girl. You know two older brothers. They were messy, they were sloppy and I, because I was the only girl, I didn't have to share a room. The boys had to share a room. I got my own room. So I was spoiled from the very beginning, but I remember going into their bedrooms and they would just have crap just everywhere clothes and bowls of cereal bowls Like they were just disgusting. They're disgusting boys, and I say this and I'm knowing that I have a teenager and a tween that are probably going to eventually be there too. It makes me cringe a little bit to think about. Oh, my goodness, I'm not ready for that.

Speaker 0:

But when I think about the organization like I didn't really have a lot of organization. I wasn't necessarily a dirty child, like I didn't have like dirty stuff, like dishes and all I didn't have, that there wasn't food in my room on a regular basis, but I was the kid, okay, that shoved all of my stuff. Like my parents would say, you better go clean your room, I would open my closet and shove everything into my closet floor, like so much so that I was afraid that the door was going to come off the hinge because I would have to like ram my body up against it to get it to shut. When my parents were like, okay, we're coming in, like a minute, you better have everything cleaned up, I'm like, oh crap, they just grab everything, sort of like it was like a bulldozer and, just like you know, push it in the closet and push my body up against the door and shove it I mean dirty clothes, papers, all the things. So I say all that, I'm outing myself as someone who has not been organized or highly productive or good with time management.

Speaker 0:

None of that. It was all a skill. All of it is a skill that you have to learn, and if you are someone who is like gosh, I want to get better at this Like this, is where I really struggle. This is where I wish I could just be consistent. I wish that I could show up with confidence, knowing this is the exact thing that I need to do and this should be the priority. If this is you, then I'm going to keep encouraging you to check out Marie Forleo's time genius program, because she's going to lay out all the things.

If you haven't heard Marie's story, go watch her story.

Speaker 0:

She has a story on her YouTube channel where she talks about how 2020 was a really tough year for her.

Speaker 0:

It was a tough year for a lot of people, but the way that she tells her story, it's like whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Speaker 0:

When I first heard her story, I fell a heart on Instagram and she was talking about having all these tumors removed and having to have, like an emergency hysterectomy. Like, if you don't know her story, you need to go listen to it, because that story and her going through these things really birthed this program that she created so that she's not constantly reactive to things. I think it's so inspiring and I want everybody to go check out her program. Go to crystalprofitcom forward slash time to check out Marie's program. Like I said, if you have not watched her story, go to her YouTube channel and find it, because it is absolutely incredible. It's so inspiring and motivating to think that you can go from someone who doesn't have these skillset to someone that is crushing things and only focusing on what's most important in their lives. So go check it out. But that's all I have for you today. So, as always, remember, keep it fresh, keep it fun and just keep going.
